You will receive your material via email. You have three weeks from your enrolment date to go through your learner guide and complete your portfolio of evidence (POE). You will need to email your completed POE to us for assessment. Once your POE has been assessed and you’ve been found competent your certificate will be issued. You can email us during office hours for support.

However, we understand that not everyone is able to attend a formal training session, this course is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to become an effective SHE REP, all from the relative comfort of your desk.

  • Overview of the General Safety & Administrative Regulations.
  • Section 17 – Health and Safety Representatives.
  • Section 18 – Functions of Health and Safety Representatives.
  • Section 19 – Health and Safety Committees.
  • Section 20 – Functions of Health and Safety Committees.
  • Workplace inspections.
  • Injury / accident reporting.
  • Control measures.
  • Employer & employee responsibilities.


  • Read, write, & understand English.
  • Math literacy (ABET Level 3 – Grade 7).
  • Grade 7 certificate.


  • Completion of a portfolio of evidence (workbook).
  • Workplace inspection (conducted by you).
  • Completing a risk assessment.
  • If found ‘not yet competent’, an attendance certificate will be issued.


  • First Aid Training SA Certificate.
  • Digital certificates only.
  • Valid for 2 years.
  • Certificates will be issued within 10 working days from successful completion of training.
