COURSE INTRODUCTION

Maintaining Occupational Health, Safety and Heneral Housekeeping (Accredited SHE REP).

COURSE CONTENT

  • Use of correct protective clothing and equipment.
  • Identify hazards.
  • Evaluate and report hazards.
  • Control hazards and apply preventative measures.
  • Select, explain and demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
  • Relevant legislation and its application / implementation.
  • Gathering and organising OHS information from the workplace.
  • Carrying out occupational health and safety training.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Read, write, & understand English.
  • NQF 1 GET Certificate.
  • Grade 9 certificate.

ASSESSMENT

  • Classroom assignments.
  • Workbook completion.
  • If found ‘not yet competent’, an attendance certificate will be issued

AWARD

  • TETA accredited competence certificate.
  • TETA Statement of Result. (approx. 8 – 10 months).
  • Digital certificates only.
  • Valid for 2 years.
  • Certificates will be issued within 10 working days from successful completion of training.
